‘Still’

‘Harmonised minimalism’ is an idea that centres around creating a sense of harmony in everyday objects, focusing on simplicity and practicality without sacrificing aesthetics. The design should evoke a sense of calm and timelessness, embodying the seamless connection between form and function.

‘'Still’ is a set of vases that reinterprets the traditional Japanese art of ikebana, blending timeless elegance with a serene presence.

Designed to offer tranquillity amidst a highly industrialised and fast-paced world, this vase evokes a moment of stillness and reflection, much like ikebana itself.

The key principles of ikebana are Shin – the tallest stem, Soe – the second tallest, and Tai – the shortest amongst the arrangement. These principles are then translated into the 3 vases of ‘Still’. It’s modular design provides flexibility, enabling users to customise and adapt it to their preferences; whether using the vasesindividually or as part of a cluster.
